Details announced ahead of fans’ return to Holker Street.
Barrow AFC have announced the initial plans for fans to return to Holker Street following the confirmation that crowds can return to live sporting events following the end of national lockdown.
With Barrow and wider Cumbria being placed in Tier 2 when the nationwide restrictions end next week, it means that the League Two game against Salford City could see the return of season ticket holders to Holker Street.
In a statement on the club’s website, chief executive, Levi Gill outlined the steps the club will be taking to ensure that Bluebirds fans will safely be able to witness their side playing in the Football League at long last, following their promotion last season.
It is unlikely Holker Street will be able to accommodate the full allowance of 2,000 fans, but the club are confident that all season ticket holders will be able to attend, with the possibility of additional supporters through general sale, subject to official safety approval and a successful trial game against Salford.
Among the details outlined it was confirmed that attending fans will be given staggered entrance times and specific entry points, while exiting the ground following the match will also be done in a controlled manner, with masks to be worn when moving throughout the ground.
Further details are available along with the full statement on the Bluebird’s official site.
