Barrow land experienced stopper in another Carlisle raid.

Paul Farman has joined Barrow on a two year deal from Cumbrian rivals Carlisle. The 31 year old follows Ofrrande Zanzala to Holker Street as Mark Cooper begins to assemble his squad.

Born in North Shields he was on Newcastles books as a youth player before getting his senior debut with Blythe Spartans, eventually moving to Gateshead in 2009.

He moved to Lincoln on loan in 2012 and impressed enough to get a permanent move which saw him make 250 appearances for the Imps over 6 years. He picked up the player of year award in 2014/15, and kept 22 clean sheets the following season as the Imps won promotion back into the football league.

He spent 2 seasons at Stevenage making 75 appearances before the move to Brunton Park in 2020.

With well over 400 senior games under his belt, Farman will bring a wealth of experience to The Bluebirds squad as preparations continue for a second season at League Two level.
