Bluebirds snap up Williams.
Mark Cooper has moved to bring in Welsh international forward George Williams, to bolster his attacking line.
Williams, 25, has signed a one-year deal, with an optional year’s extension, following his release from Grimsby Town.
The Welshman – who can play on the wings or up front – began his career at MK Dons, where he became the FA Cup’s youngest ever goalscorer, when he netted against Nantwich Town on his debut as a 16-year-old.
He then moved on to Fulham, where he was farmed out on loan as he struggled to break into the Cottagers’ first team, before linking up with new boss Cooper at Forest Green Rovers.
As well as extensive Football League experience, Williams has also appeared on the international stage; making his full Wales debut against Netherlands in 2014, and earned a place in the European Championship squad that reached the semi-finals in 2016.
