Duo depart Bluebirds

Dior Angus and Harrison Biggins have left Barrow AFC as Michael Jolley continues to chop and change his squad.

Angus, 27, leaves to join Wrexham on a free transfer, after cancelling his contract by mutual consent. The striker played an important part in firing the Bluebirds to their Football League return, notching 10 goals as he formed a deadly partnership with top-scorer Scott Quigley.

The former Port Vale man also wrote his name in the Barrow history books by scoring their first Football League goal in 48 years, with his opening day penalty against Stevenage.

Meanwhile, midfielder Biggins has been recalled by parent club Fleetwood Town. Biggins had been due to stay at Holker Street for the rest of the season but new Cod Army manager, Simon Grayson, has decided to bring back the man who has made 26 appearances for the Bluebirds this season.

Co-incidentally, Biggins will be reunited with his former Barrow manager David Dunn, who joined the club as Grayson’s assistant on the same day.
